Student Spotlight: Daniel

Updated: Jun 25

Daniel is a perfect example of how a passion for learning and a supportive environment can unlock incredible potential. With a background in sports science and a career in pharmaceuticals, Daniel never thought he could pursue a creative path—let alone thrive in one. He believed art and design were reserved for those who attended art school, but his journey over the past few years has proven otherwise.

About six years ago, Daniel (now 34) began traveling and meeting new people who inspired him to explore his artistic side. He discovered a love for drawing, illustration, and pattern design but hesitated to take the next step because of the challenges of balancing work, learning, and living with dyslexia. That’s when he found us.

Our small, hands-on classes were the perfect fit for Daniel’s needs. He’s already mastered tools like Illustrator, Photoshop, Autocad, SketchUp and 3D printing and he’s eager to dive into Revit and Vectorworks to fulfil his childhood dream of designing his own home one day.

Daniel’s enthusiasm for learning is contagious, and he’s a valued member of our creative community.

What Daniel loves most is the variety of people he meets here—artists, app designers, graphic designers—all bringing their unique perspectives to the table. He says the classes never feel like school but instead leave him feeling inspired, confident, and ready to tackle new creative challenges.

Daniel’s story reminds us that it’s never too late to discover a new passion, and we’re proud to be a part of his journey.
