We asked Adam about his experience on the Designer Development Course. During his time in London Fields Design School, Adam experimented with 3D scanning and printing. Here is a scale model of Adam’s head that he created using Polycam and then 3D printed. While studying with us, he also created business cards as part of work experience and undertook a project to work with a Hackney Wick bespoke framing business with their branding and provided graphic design support.

He says:
“My background includes completing my undergraduate degree in biology at Durham University, after which I worked as a marketing manager in finance for four years. I chose to attend LFDS with for one simple reason: to pursue a new, creative journey. I reached a point in my old career where despite gaining valuable experience, I wasn’t getting the satisfaction I wanted in a career. I had a longing for something more creative.
LFDS provided me with an opportunity to build a foundation in the creative industry as someone who didn’t have background in it, and to grow that into the start of my new career. I liked how friendly the lecturers and staff were, and the mentoring sessions were great to bounce ideas around with fellow students and with Ben. My creative practice has now expanded into photography, where I’m currently undertaking my MA in photography at the RCA. The skills I’ve learned at LFDS will allow me to pursue this next chapter. I ultimately want to work as a freelancer and be in control of my projects and interests.”
It's a pleasure to have had Adam learning with us and to have helped him in building his creative career. We look forward to seeing his future successes.
