Student Spotlight: Charles Dessert

Charles, a furniture, product and 3D designer based in London with roots in France. During the pandemic he decided to pivot from his successful career in luxury hotel marketing to pursue his passion for design, a decision that led him to London Fields Design School and helped him gain practical experience with an independent furniture retailer.

Since studying on the Designer Development Course, Charles now has his own practice and business that has worked on a number of exciting projects, including his beautiful aluminium furniture set called The Calibur Collection:

“Studying at LFDS has given me the chance to explore new software and discover fresh ways to express my creativity. The tutors are not only supportive but also industry professionals with real, up-to-date experience. Plus, working on projects from real clients has allowed me to apply my skills to real-life cases, making learning feel both practical and inspiring.”
