Maker Spotlight: Laetitia Rouget

Laetitia Rouget, an artist from France but now based in East London, has found the perfect occasions for kitsch art.

Her clever ceramics and textiles have caused a sensation on social media and generated waiting lists. Rouget began creating colourful handmade items such as vases, mugs, serving platters, and placemats after completing her studies at Central Saint Martins in 2010.

Her work has an infectious energy, evident in her plates in cotton-candy colours with slogans like 'WHO SAID I CAN’T COOK' and 'YOU ARE ON MY NAUGHTY LIST' in addition to her voluptuous, woman-shaped candleholders and fantastical folk-inspired flags.
